Oregon TSA & USPS · DOL-Credentialed Care

Oregon's Federal workers keep the state moving.

If you get hurt on the job, you have the right to choose your own doctor, not the one your agency sends you to.

The Wellness Center PDX works with Oregon's TSA officers and USPS employees to file it right, treat it properly, and get back to work at no out-of-pocket cost.

Sound familiar?

"My supervisor said I had to see their doctor, not mine."

"I don't even know if I filed the right form."

"It's been weeks and I still don't know if my claim's even approved."

If any of these sound like you, you're not alone and there's a way to get your claim and your care back on track.

Know Your Rights

Your supervisor doesn't pick your doctor.

You do.

Federal employees have the legal right to select their own treating physician for a work-related injury; you are never required to see the "company doctor."

Choosing a provider who already knows the DOL-OWCP process means your treatment and your claim move forward together, without delays.

"Did your employer tell you that you could choose your own treating doctor? Most federal employees find out too late, after the wrong doctor has already slowed their claim down." - Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA)

Federal Workers' Compensation Care: Frequently Asked Questions

Who qualifies for OWCP federal workers' compensation care at our clinic?

Any injured federal employee covered under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA); including TSA officers, USPS postal workers, and employees from all federal agencies, can receive treatment at our clinic.

What is the difference between an OWCP CA-1 form and a CA-2 form?

A CA-1 form is filed for a traumatic workplace injury, while a CA-2 form is filed for an occupational disease or repetitive strain injury.

Does OWCP federal workers' compensation treatment cost anything out of pocket?

No, authorized medical care for an accepted OWCP workers' compensation claim costs the employee nothing out of pocket.
